Its'a ME 8D

This is a painting of myself, Kris, that I did back in the ninth grade in art class. What we did was:

1) Took a photo of ourselves with light shining on one side
2) Put it in photoshop and changed the settings so the areas of light were more solid
3) Measured and drew grid lines on the picture in photoshop
4) Measured and drew grid lines on a giant white cardboard rectangle
5) Transferred the picture to the cardboard by using the grid squares to draw each piece of the picture, square by square
6) Printed out black and white versions of the picture and used colored pencils to choose a color scheme
7) Mixed paints to make different shades of the colors needed
8) Painted the entire thing.

IT LITERALLY TOOK US HALF THE YEAR. WE HAD ART CLASS EVERY DAY.

Oh yeah and this is probably as close as most of you will get to knowing what I actually look like, since I don't post pictures of myself on the internet. >3>
